Piloting Advanced Construction Technologies at Tengah BTOs

During the construction of Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in Tengah, Obayashi collaborated with HDB to pilot innovative technologies on site, paving the way for broader adoption in future developments.

To enhance productivity while reducing reliance on labour-intensive tasks, the Autonomous Tower Crane System was deployed alongside Skyjuster® to automate and optimise lifting operations. This integration improves precision by accurately positioning precast elements before installation, while also enhancing site safety by minimising the need for manual guidance.

UTM Career Fair 2026

We are excited to participate in the UTM Career Fair this year, marking our very first time taking part in the event.

Together with our young engineers and quantity surveyors, we shared insights into the diverse opportunities within the built environment industry and experiences working in the field. It was truly encouraging to connect with so many passionate and driven students. We look forward to seeing the next generation of talent bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the industry.

BCA-GeoSS Joint Study Trip

BCA and GeoSS jointly organised a study trip to Chinese Taipei in collaboration with the Chinese Taipei Geotechnical Society, aimed at exploring innovative, safe, and sustainable construction technologies to support Singapore’s built environment transformation efforts.

Obayashi Corporation was pleased to support this initiative by sending a delegate to participate in the one-day workshop, “Overcoming Challenges in Infrastructure Projects,” held on 13 April 2026, where Mr. Ryukichi ITO from the Taoyuan MRT Green Line Contract GC03 shared key project challenges.

Green Steps Together – Singapore Botanic Gardens

Colleagues from Obayashi Singapore Private Limited came together for a Nature Walk on 15 Mar (Sunday) at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, held under the theme of “Green Steps Together.” It was a refreshing opportunity to step away from our routines, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality time with fellow colleagues and family members.

International Women’s Day 2026

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Obayashi Singapore was delighted to engage EuriLily to conduct an insightful MBTI workshop, where our colleagues explored their personality types and discovered scents inspired by their unique traits. The session offered a meaningful and engaging experience, encouraging self‑awareness, appreciation of individual differences, and connection.

Hosting delegates from Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) in Tokyo

In early March, Obayashi Corporation was pleased to host delegates from the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) as part of their Tokyo Study Tour – Advancing Architectural Excellence & MET Innovation.

Through visits to significant landmark projects by renowned Japanese architects, the delegation sought to gain deeper insights into the integration of design thinking, technological innovation, and urban responsiveness.

Interns’ Site Visit 3 Feb 2026

On 3 February 2026, Obayashi Singapore organised our inaugural inter-site visit for students doing internship within the organization. This initiative aims to broaden interns’ exposure beyond their assigned project sites, foster interaction and knowledge-sharing, and promote hands-on learning.

International Migrants Day 2025

The International Migrants Day celebration was held on 14 December at D’Marquee, Downtown East, welcoming over 10,000 visitors. The event featured a vibrant lineup of multicultural stage performances and carnival booths, offering an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
