We were delighted to host the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) Board at our CR202 Biodiversity Training Centre (BTC) this month.

The SGBC plays a leading role in driving Singapore’s green building movement — from certifying sustainable products and buildings to advancing education and research in the built environment. Their visit to the BTC offered a firsthand look at how construction within sensitive forest environments can align with these same sustainability principles.

At the BTC, our CR202 team shared how we integrate biodiversity conservation, environmental monitoring, and eco-conscious work practices into one of Singapore’s most complex tunnelling projects. From mitigating noise and light impacts to protecting forest-edge flora and fauna, every aspect of our operations reflects the balance between development and stewardship.

We were encouraged by the SGBC Board’s positive feedback and thoughtful engagement — a strong reminder that engineering and ecology can work hand in hand to shape a more sustainable future.
