During the construction of Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in Tengah, Obayashi collaborated with HDB to pilot innovative technologies on site, paving the way for broader adoption in future developments.
To enhance productivity while reducing reliance on labour-intensive tasks, the Autonomous Tower Crane System was deployed alongside Skyjuster® to automate and optimise lifting operations. This integration improves precision by accurately positioning precast elements before installation, while also enhancing site safety by minimising the need for manual guidance.
In addition, the Crane Machine Guidance system enables multiple cranes to operate safely within close proximity. Leveraging Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), the system detects potential obstacles and prevents collisions, further strengthening operational safety.
These innovations demonstrate how technology can transform construction practices—driving greater efficiency while ensuring a safer working environment for all.
