Obayashi Singapore was pleased to participate once again in the Singapore Universities Combined Civil Engineering Engagement Day (SUCCEED) 2026, held at NTU on 7 February.

SUCCEED brings together students from NTU, NUS, SIT, and Singapore Polytechnic, creating a valuable platform that bridges academic learning with real-world industry practice.

It was encouraging to witness the enthusiasm and creativity demonstrated by students throughout the event. From meaningful networking sessions to the Floating Tower design competition, students applied strong technical fundamentals while showcasing teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

Our engineers enjoyed engaging directly with students — sharing insights into our projects, discussing real-world construction challenges, and exploring emerging trends such as sustainable construction, green building solutions, and AI-driven technologies. These conversations allowed students to better appreciate how classroom concepts translate into site execution, while giving our team the chance to connect with the next generation of built-environment talent.
