"I started internship with OSPL in 2016. Once graduated in 2017, I joined OSPL as a Building Engineer. I felt very fortunate and fulfilled that I was involved in the entire process of a construction project, which is from tender, the beginning and the completion of a construction site. Over these 5 years, I have been given the encouragements, opportunities, support by the big family here to learn, nurturing me from a crying girl on site to a tougher woman now. Moreover, I am very grateful that the management and the team has provided me a flexible working environment and support during my pregnancy and new motherhood, while continue pursuing my career as being a Building Engineer."

"Time flies so quickly. It’s almost a decade since I became a family member of Obayashi. I joined Obayashi tender team in Year 2013 as a SQS, had gone through 2 rounds of promotion exercise and I am now a QS Manager. I have handled tenders such as data centres, mixed developments, office buildings, hospitals, hotels, industrial buildings, factories, etc. I am grateful that Obayashi specializes in a wide range of building construction. It allows me to gain invaluable experiences in all these different buildings. My work is also more interesting as I come into contact with all these diverse types of projects. I hope to work in Obayashi as long as I can and share whatever I have learned to all my team members."

"In my 20 years of working experience at Obayashi, I have gained various opportunities to learn and grow since my early days. Working alongside my seniors and co-workers from all different walks of life has gifted me with different viewpoints when handling projects like CREATE @ NUS campus, Halliburton Phase 1 & 2 and iconic project DUO @ Ophir. Not to mention the tremendous support and constructive feedback given helped me sharpen my knowledge.
My current Data Centre (DC) project was the most intricate one as the pandemic struck and the team had to abide with the new authority directive implications. Despite the hardships, we overcame by working closely as one. I had a plethora of events to gain from, especially when handling a DC project which is MEP driven and led by me as a Project Manager with building experience.
Overall, I am indebted to Obayashi Management for offering me such considerable endeavors thinking out of the box and sending me a building experience personnel to study DC design awareness from DCD Singapore to help me further excel in my duties and to upkeep the business trend of DC project demands in the industry. I would like to sincerely thank the management for giving me an opportunity to attend the "Learn beyond Singapore Programme" by sending me to our client’s DC facility in Australia to understand the DC project concept prior to start of execution of the project in Singapore. The visit was an eye opener in tandem with advance construction technologies in DC projects and for implementation in local projects.
I steadily believe that the road to success is always under construction."

"As a Building engineer at Corporate Office, my main responsibility is to assist the Building section in the tender process. I work alongside colleagues who provided mentorship and opportunities for me to learn. Through various company organised events, I get to know more about them and develop a stronger bond with them. The training courses I've attended have been beneficial so as to ensure that I'm kept abreast of current regulations and practices. Obayashi has provided a challenging and fulfilling work environment where I believe my professional and personal development are achievable."
