Having our presence in Singapore for the past 50 years, Obayashi Singapore has built up a track record based on numerous projects, such as East Coast Land Reclamation, MRT, bridges and major buildings of various functions, underscored by our renowned technological capabilities like shield tunnelling, seismic resistance, LRV Precast and many technological developments from our Technical Research Institute.

We have been working alongside industry partners to provide Singapore with safe, environmentally sustainable, and high quality of lives through the construction of these buildings and infrastructures. At Obayashi Singapore, we are committed to creating and providing a workplace environment that prioritizes safety. We instil and promote safety awareness through regular safety trainings, encouraging our employees to be vigilant about potential hazards and continuously promoting and reinforcing safety best practices. We recognize that our business activities have an impact on the environment, and we are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainability. We have implemented initiatives to reduce the consumption of materials, water, and energy through efficient use. We also understand the importance of social responsibility and are committed to ensuring that our business practices are ethical and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additionally, in line with our strategy for overseas construction business, we believe localization is a key part to our overseas construction business. In January 2014, Singapore operation is converted into a local subsidiary. We will continuously nurture and promote national staff to enhance productivity and actively promote them to executive and managerial positions as part of the efforts to retain and nurture them for future leadership positions.

We will continue to keep up with our strong collaboration with the industry partners in shaping the nation for the next 50 years and beyond.
